Francis Lombard, is the Democrat running for State Representative for the 8th District of the Connecticut House of Representatives. District 8 includes all of Columbia and Coventry, and parts of Bolton, Lebanon, and Tolland.

Raised in a Massachusetts small business family, Francis’ political outlook was shaped by the struggles of the Great Recession. This experience reinforced his belief that government must do more than talk about the challenges facing working families and instead, must deliver real results.

For the past decade, Francis has built his life in Connecticut's 8th District with his wife, working to elect Democrats, supporting local civic organizations, and helping build community across the region. He is running to bring greater investment to eastern Connecticut, protect working families, and to ensure that the district receives its fair share from Hartford.
